What's a CSA?
Short for Community Supported Agriculture. You pay a local farm in advance for a "share," and in return get a box of whatever's freshly harvested that week, usually picked up weekly from a set nearby location. It's a direct relationship with a real farm, not a subscription box company: you don't choose what's inside, you get what's in season, and your money supports that specific farm rather than a distributor.
